Selborne has a democratically-elected prefect body whose role is to maintain discipline and school spirit among the learners. They play an important role in the management of the school, as each prefect is assigned a portfolio to manage. Through managing themselves and their portfolios, prefects learn to honour their school, uphold the Selborne values and manage themselves - important life-skills that should not be overlooked.
