In 2005 the OSA decide to try a new format. Instead of a formal dinner over Founders Day Weekend, it would take the format of a fun, relaxing evening at the Neil Emslie Centre. That is how the OSA Spit Braai started. It has been extremely well received and forms a major part of the various re-unions taking place over the Founders Weekend. All re-union groups attend this event. It is open to all Old Selbornians, Staff, Parents and friends of Selborne College. Wives and partners are most welcome to attend. It is an event for the family of Selborne.
