Archery Range

The Archery RangeIn 2004 when rifles were taken away from schools, the shooting range became obsolete. Many and varied ideas were thrown around as to what should become of the area. In February 2005 the Archery club was started and practices had to be fitted in where and when the rugby/cricket fields were not in use.

Towards the end of 2005 permission was obtained to convert the shooting range into the archery range. At the start of the first term 2006 the structures at the shooting points were demolished. This was accomplished mainly by the efforts and labours of members of the club. The old shooting range has now become a perfect 18m archery range.
